Important Sulfide Mining Meeting Dates

The time has come to voice your opinion on sulfide mining legislation!!!

November 10--BIG BAY
There will be a Rules Workshop and a Q & A session with Michelle Halley from the National Wildlife Federation on Thursday, November 10, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. in the Thunder Bay Inn Lobby.

The following dates are set for workshops and public hearings in Marquette, Escanaba & Lansing concerning the legislative rules:

November 21--MARQUETTE
Rules Workshop
Time: 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Location: Michigan Room, Northern Michigan University .

November 29--ESCANABA
Rules Workshop
Time: 10:00 - 1:00 p.m.
Location: Room 952, 58 & 62, Bay De Noc Community College

DEQ Public Informational Meeting, 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Public Hearing,7:00 - 9:30 p.m.
These two meetings will be held in Rooms 972A & B, Joseph Heirman University Center, Bay De Noc Community College, 2001 North Lincoln Road, Escanaba, MI.

PUBLIC HEARING, 7:00 - 9:30 p.m.
These two meetings will be held in the University Center, Huron & Erie Rooms, Northern Michigan University, Marquette, MI.

December 7--LANSING
DEQ Public Informational Meeting 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
PUBLIC HEARING 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
These two meetings will be held in the Lansing Center, Rooms 203 & 204, 333 E Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI.
